This little jennet was purchased from the on-line internet sale at The Labor Day Weekend Donkey Spectacular Sale on September 3rd, 2005. We are excited to add another jennet from 'Ass-Pirin Acres' and 'My World' bloodlines.

Felina has been bred to SparksaFire for a foal due in 2014. She was pastured with the jack from 9/27/12 thru 2/24/13. The jack was put back in her pasture from 4/02/13 thru 8/16/13, when he left for his new home.

Zelda came to live at Half Ass Acres so that her last foal, Dream Big, would have a traveling companion all the way from Nebraska. Zelda is the dam of three jennets that we own and the grand dam of two of our herd sires. Photos and videos above were taken on January 20th, 2013, in her long, winter, sun-bleached coat at nearly 19 years of age. Zelda has the most beautiful pair of eyes you have ever seen...one is brown and the other is amber or blue depending upon how the light hits it!

Zelda still looks fantastic for a nineteen year old. She is a very sweet and laid-back jennet that is easy to love. Unfortunately Zelda went blind in her beautiful left eye but she has been placed in a wonderful 'forever' home in Atlanta, Indiana.

It has been a very hard decision but we are now offering our red donkeys for sale just to reduce our herd so we can handle the work load. We have already sold our red herd sire and we are now going to offer most all of our red jennets for sale except for three. We are keeping one of each shade: light, medium and dark red. Joe and I are both in our mid-sixties now and it is time to slow down a bit and enjoy our donkeys more.

Rosie is the dam of two foals in her lifetime and she is a wonderful mother. She is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile and Bot-B. She had a booster of Prestige V+ West Nile on 9/17/13, which includes Eastern/Western Encephelitis/Tetanus/West Nile, Rhino, and Influenza three weeks before her foal, Kiss This, was born. This gives her foal immunity until she is old enough for her own vaccinations.

You can see in the videos that both Rosie and Smooch have outstanding qualities that make them a wonderful addition to your show string and/or breeding program. Smooch is wide, straight and correct in her conformation with a most unusual cinnamon red color. I would love to see her go to a show home where she will be appreciated. She and her mom will be ready to travel in a week or so. If you purchase more than one donkey or you have previously purchased donkeys from us in the past this price will be reduced. Sheila is really one of the nicest grey jennys I have ever seen. She is small and compact with a pretty head and beautiful eye. She actually measures slightly less than her recorded height. Her foals have been just like her with superior conformation. We have always admired Sheila ever since we first visited Flight of Fancy Miniatures in New Hampshire when we picked Sheila out as our favorite. That was many years ago and we are finally proud to call Sheila our own. Sheila was named after the famous woman aviator, Sheila Scott.

We are very pleased to announce that Raven's Fire has now joined our herd of brood jennets. Thank you to Bob and Sandy Dorris for allowing her to become part of our lives.  Raven rejected her first foal on Christmas Day last year but she was a wonderful mom the next time around.  Raven is a gorgeous true black jennet without even a hint of a cross and with a very curly coated natural coat. As always a big thanks to Dena Wilson for such a fine job of handling Raven during her photo shoot.

Raven has been bred to bruise for a foal due on 9/27/13, the last time we observed her in season although she was with the jack from 9/12/12 thru 12/26/12.

Eight Belles was named after the gray filly that ran to her death in the Kentucky Derby. She had lots of heart and so does this little girl. Belles is square and straight and has beautiful legs on her with lots of width and bone. She has a nice round rear end. Her dam has produced multiple champions. Belles measured slightly less than 32" tall. Belles has been hand bred to Jealous Much for a foal due on November 13th, 2013. She is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile. She has a negative coggins report dated 3/12/13. This will be her first foal!

Sweet Pea is the most wonderful mom and she and her new baby are doing just great. Right now the baby looks to be no light points but Sweet Pea also looked like a NLP when she was born and later her nose turned intermediate....time will tell. We sure hate to part with this girl but I promised my husband I would reduce our numbers to help our work load. This little girl has it all...conformation to die for and a personality to match. Envy will be up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile before she is weaned and leaves for her new home. Put a deposit down now and make payments for six months to make her all yours if you want to be the envy of everyone. Show her until she is breeding age and then raise more just like her.
