Other winners not shown here due to my running out of disk space on my camera...forgive me!! I will be happy to post your photos if you will send them to me. Congratulations to LJ & Deby Mix showing their spotted jack Sampson and winning the Jacks at Halter Class and placing 1st and 2nd in the lead race with LJ and Deby out of 14 entries. Debi and LJ also placed 2nd and 3rd in the Weanlings/Yearlings at Halter. Teresa Pucket won 1st in the Panty Race out of 15 entries, 2nd in the driving class, 2nd in Musical Buckets, 3rd in the Coon Jump, and so many more ribbons that I could not keep up with it but she and her donkey, Patches, won High Point of the whole show...winning a trophy, ribbon, cash, and a wonderful show halter donated by the The Lil' Longears Ranch! Bob & Sandy Dorris were 2nd in the Egg & Spoon race working as a team, Bob was 3rd and Sandy was 5th in the Panty Race. Sandy was 3rd in Musical Buckets. Thanks, Sandy, for your help in the Musical Bucket race ... without it I would not have won!! I was too out of breath for the rest of the show to thank you properly for helping us beat our husbands!! Sandy Carlson was 2nd in the Jacks at Halter class with her spotted jack, Triple C Hermes. They also placed 4th in the Lead Race. Sandy and her spotted jennet, Clementine, won the Jennets at Halter class. Good going Sandy!! Kay Allen and her spotted jack 5th in the large Weanlings/Yearlings at Halter class and her granddaughter, Kendall, was 2nd in that packed Costume Class in their very first donkey show! Please send photos and updates on our other winners and I will post them here! And forgive me if I have made mistakes or left anyone out...send me an E-Mail and I will post additional information. A big THANK YOU to Sandy and Carson Carroll for organizing this show and doing such a wonderful job. A special thank you to the announcer, The Rev. Glen Forsee of the First Assembly of God Church in Shelbyville, for not only doing such an amazing job but especially for telling a joke while I caught my breath sitting on a bucket in the Musical Buckets class. Now THAT is what I call a mini-divine intervention! I think he recognized that I was about to die!! Another big thank you to our judge, Coach Thomas Holman, the PE teacher at Cascade Elementary School. He did a fine job and everyone was happy with his judging decisions. It was a tough job!! Thanks to the Ribbon Girls, Jenna and Sara Edwards, for giving all our show photos a touch of class! We would also like to thank the Bedford County Fair officials...we had fun and we will be back!! |
