We are very proud to announce that we have
sold over 234 geldings to new homes!! We sell most of our jack foals as geldings.
We only let the cream of the crop remain as intact jacks. You
can see them all on our newborn
page. We don't duplica their information on the sold page
as each of our newborns have their own individual page. We are the proud owners of
six geldings of our own. Donkeys just don't get any better than a gelding! Click
here to see our personal gelding page.
You can see the foals we have sold on our newborn page. We don't duplicate their information on the sold page
as each of our newborns have their own individual page.
Update:
We are no longer using this page. We are listing donkeys sold by each year. This page was too bulky and would not load for most users..especially cell phone users. So this page only has some of the geldings we have sold. You will have to visit our year by year sold pages to see them all.
Jiggs' father is a NMDA National Champion, and his mother is a NMDA Grand Champion jennet.
Jiggs is trained to drive and also trained to do in-hand obstacles. Jiggs was excellent for his bath and haircut. He even allowed me to clip the inside of his ears with ease. Jiggs performed our water obstacles with a little coaching and jumped like a champ. He will also side-pass with no hesitation. We finally drove him on 5/28/16, and boy do we love this boy. He is a show donkey deluxe that is very willing to do all that you ask of him. Jiggs is a sweet boy that is easy to catch and handle.
Update! First time shown Jiggs won 1st out of 19 entries in the solid color class at Music City in July 2016!
Jiggs is up to date on all vaccinations including Eastern/Western Encephalitis, Rhino, Tetanus, Influenza, Rabies and West Nile. His teeth were last floated by an equine dentist on 10/12/16. He has a negative coggins report dated 6/10/16.
Congratulations to

Dunlap, Tennessee!!
Mister Madison is as sweet as they come and we are pleased to offer him for sale. He has been shown in halter and he has been started in performance with in-hand events. He has a very calm easy going demeaner and it would not take a lot of training to make him a competitive show donkey in performance. He is very heavy boned and correct with 'buttons' on each fetlock that make him really stand out. Mister is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile and Rabies. He has a current negative coggins. He gets along with other donkeys and he is super easy to handle. He comes with a new halter and lead rope and many other extras. Wouldn't he look great under some lucky person's tree!

This has to be one of the sweetest donkeys ever. He is trained to pull a cart and do all performance classes. He has been shown successfully by his previous owner who is going through a divorce and moving and had to sell her donkeys. We ran out of daylight before we could take videos of him driving, etc. but we will hook him up and video him driving sometime in the current week. We will determine his price after we have driven him. He is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile and Rabies and he is current on de-wormings and hoof trims. This is a very safe and sweet boy. He gets along with all donkeys including foals and jennets. He is easy to catch and handle.Tucson has a very slight underbite that is well within the legal limits and poses no problems for him whatsover.

Vic was born in the wee hours of the morning and we slept through the whole thing since our barn cams are still out of order. Thank you to Emily Steenhout for coming up with the perfect name for Vic. Even though my friend, Glenda Lawrence, wanted me to name him "Negative, My Ass" since his mom tested negative for pregnancy last month when she passed her due date.
Victory Lap's full brother, Phinnigan, won High Point Champion in Oklahoma this weekend in a pre-green division of 9 mini donkeys. He is 21 months old now, smart, and willing in the show ring. We feel that Vic, will follow in his brother's hoof steps. Vic will be offered for sale along with his dam, Designer Donkeys' Posy.

Drummer Boy is an exceptionally sweet boy and has been life long best friends with his half brother Flash of Crimson (see above) so they must go to a home together.
Drummer Boy and his brother were left out on very rich pasture several years ago and were allowed to become too heavy and they also had a touch of founder. They have no visible effects in their hooves or gait but we want to be sure to place them with someone that has limited pasture so they can continue to lose weight.
Katie Randall, their breeder and original owner, will be working with these boys to teach them in-hand trail obstacle course exercises and make them more suitable for ambassador donkeys. They were both given a Prestige V + West Nile vaccination on 8/04/16 and a booster on 8/27/16. They were also given a rabies vaccination in August so they are good on vaccinations until this time next year. They have a negative coggins report dated 9/07/16.
As always a big thank you to my expert handler, Katie Randall. Without her help none of these photos and videos would be possible. Katie is the pied piper of donkeys. The donkeys will do anything for her and I am blessed to have her in my life.
We are selling them by private treaty because they must both have a very special home before we will allow them to leave our farm. Here is your chance to get two very nice donkeys at a very reasonable price. If we decide that you have the perfect home for these two boys we will allow them to remain here at no extra charge until Katie can teach them how to be wonderful companions for some lucky family.
Congratulations to

Flash is registered as a red/brown but he is without a doubt a true dark red with red eyelashes. His color is about as bright as it can be so he was appropriately named Flash of Crimson. Flash has been life long best friends with his half brother Drummer Boy (see below) so they must go to a home together.

Diablo is Loco's life long best friend and they must stay together. Diablo was also born here at Half Ass Acres. We had named him Atta Boy Adam and his new owner's changed his name to Dodie's Diablo. When they needed to reduce their herd to make room for two riding horses they decided to sell them back to us. Diablo has show quality conformation just like his half brother Loco. Both would make terrific show geldings, or a nice harness team or just beautiful donkeys for your backyard. They are both very friendly and easy to catch and handle. They get along with other horses and donkeys. Diablo is also up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile and Rabies. He has a negative coggins report dated 8/5/16. If we keep these geldings long enough to teach them to drive their price will go up. These photos and videos would not have been possible without the help of Katie Randall. She is the greatest...thank you Katie. I appreciate you so much.

This gorgeous, flashy gelding was born here in 2008. We named him Streak of Lightning but his new owners changed his name to Wini's Loco. They have owned him for eight years and needed to reduce their herd so they decided to sell him back to us along with his best friend Diablo. These two geldings must not be separated as they have been lifelong friends. They would make a wonderful driving team or individual show donkeys. Loco is up to date on all vaccinations, de-wormings and hoof trims. He has a negative coggins dated 8/03/16. These photos would not be possible without the expert handling of Katie Randall. I do so appreciate her. My life has been blessed to have her to help me do everything around here. Praise the Lord for Katie Randall! He is spectacular in every way...but his half brother and best friend is pretty darn nice too. If I did not already have all the geldings I can handle I would be keeping both of these boys.
Cue has show quality conformation and would make someone a top of the line show gelding one day. He is already showing signs of his athletic ability, intelligence and willingness to learn. He is offered for sale along with his dam, Pink Bouquet.

Red was just bathed and clipped and isn't he handsome! We photographed him on 5/18/16, and I am just now picking out my favorites and making his video. Red is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile and Rabies as he was vaccinated on 5/16/16 with Prestige V + West Nile and with Rabies on 5/18/16. He was de-wormed the next day, his hooves were freshly trimmed and he has a negative coggins dated 3/01/16. We photographed Red doing trail today but we did not drive him as he was a little ouchy on one foot from his fresh hoof trim. We will try again the next time Katie is here to help me and the weather is good.
Red is trained to drive and also trained to do in-hand obstacles. He has been team driven many times with the donkey offered for sale below and with other donkeys as well. He was started in harness by Jim Tippee in Texas, then his grand daughter trained him in hand and showed him in youth for several years. He was later sold and trained by Lee Thomas of Missouri. Red was good for his bath and haircut except he was not real happy about us trimming his ears and face but he endured it with gritted teeth. He is a very, very willing in-hand performance gelding. He goes through water obstacles and jumps like a champ. He will also side-pass with ease. We will be driving him another day and I am sure he will be just as talented with that as well.
Red is a beautiful donkey. His color will be a bright, vivid red in a few weeks since we just body clipped him and it takes a while for a medium or dark red donkey's color to come back in to it's natural color. Red Light will be priced as soon as we drive him in the cart and evaluate what level driver he is suited for. We want to make sure Red goes to a home where he is well-suited for a life-long companion for someone.
Red Light was shown by a youth in open shows for several years in Texas. Red Light helped her to win the following awards:
2008 SDMS Summer Sizzler Reserve Youth High Point
2009 State Fair of Texas Youth High Point

Toby was just bathed and clipped. (Note in photos above how Katie trimmed out a heart on Toby's hip.) Toby is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile (5/16/16) and Rabies (5/18/16). He was de-wormed the next day and he has a negative coggins dated 3/01/16.
Toby is trained to drive and started on in-hand performance. He has been driven as a team many times paired up with Red Light listed above also for sale. We have only had Toby here for a few days but he is a sweetheart. Easy to catch and handle and a sweetheart for his bath and hair cut. We have only driven Toby one time and we may change our minds after we have put more miles on him but we feel that he would only be suitable for an intermediate or advanced driver. Toby has a lot of get up and go and he does not have the smoothest brakes. We will have our equine dentist float his teeth and pull his wolfe teeth, etc. and maybe then he will be more responsive. It could be that we are using the wrong type of bit on him and we will experiement with other bits to see if he likes them better. He would be a great project for someone that wanted to show as he loves to go and has a lot of speed. He would be very competitive in speed classes. He is a fun in-hand trail donkey. It did not take us but one time to show him something new and he tried his best to please us. He would be a wonderful addition to your family as he could take you for drives or just be a pet if you so desired. Toby will be priced as soon as we trim his hooves, get an accurate current measurement and when we drive him in the cart a few more times to correctly evaluate what level driver he is suited for. We want to make sure Toby goes to a home where he is well-suited for a life-long companion for someone.
Call (615-504-4536) or e-mail if you are interested and we will discuss if Toby is the right donkey for you.

How do I begin, where do I start, how can I explain? The people, who know me well, know that Junebug has always held a very special place in my heart. I have always loved her so much, even before I ever owned her. Then one day, Junebug was ours and all was right with the world.
She foaled, Black & Blue a.k.a. Bruise, in 2008, who we have retained in our herd and who, by the way, we consider to be the finest jack on our farm. We chose to breed her to Napoleon this time knowing that the elegance from both parents would only produce a masterpiece. We were not wrong!!
As we watched this little guy being born all we saw was white, and more white, and very few spots. As he dried it was evident that his few tyger spots had been delicately placed to perfection. He has dark spots around his eyes with dark eyeliner (guyliner!) all the way around both eyes, three tear drop tyger spots on his left shoulder, on his mid section, back of legs, and ears. All of his spots have deep halos around each one which means his spots will never change. When he was completely dry his coat resembled lofty clouds floating in the clear blue sky. He stood there with a presence of beauty rarely seen in a new born jack….and he weighed 31 lbs. standing 22.¼" and built like a tank!!! If he had arm muscles I’m sure he would have flexed them to all the other donkeys as if to say, “JEALOUS MUCH?” He is a one of a kind boy!
Jealous Much was the 2011 "High Point Halter Jack of Tennessee", "Reserve High Point Spotted Color" and "Reserve High Point In-Hand Jack" after his first and only year of showing!
He tied for the halter and the in-hand award with his stablemate, HHAA Heza Brick House.
Thank you to Dena Wilson who handled Jealous Much during his photo session and made these fantastic photos possible!
We have decided to keep Jealous Much and geld him as he is a half brother to our other herd sire and we do not need to duplicate those bloodlines. Look for him in the show ring in 2016!! We do not really want to part with Jealous Much but we have too many geldings to show them all and we will consider selling him to the right home.

Paint is going to be great under harness as you can see by how beautifully he moves in the video. I had planned on keeping him and training him for my next show gelding but with the family illnessess my time has been limited. This donkey will make someone a wonderful, competitive show gelding. He has a very pleasing and willing attitude. He is easy to catch and handle. He is up to date on all vaccinations including West NIile and Rabies. His teeth were floated, wolfe teeth pulled and a bit seat put in his mouth for comfort if you should desire to train him to drive by a professional equine dentist, Scotty NeSmith, on 5/30/15. His winter coat has been bleached by the sun but in the summer time he clips off to be black and white. You should snap him up because if I ever take the time to teach him to drive I will never let this boy go!

I had to have another gelding when my great niece, Emily, took over ownership of my Mookie Man. It was a hard decision but we finally decided on Howington since he previously belonged to me as a weanling and I was familiar with his personality and luckily he was offered for sale. He has a wonderful show record in halter and color with his prior owners. A big 'Thank You!' to Dana Rathbun of Castlewood Farms for allowing us to purchase Howington. They had a great 2011 show season together!
We purchased Howington in September of 2011 and started training him for performance on June 19th of 2012. Howington is now being driven a minimum of six hours per week and usually much more (although we missed nearly two months when I was not allowed to drive by my doctor's orders). It was hard to keep him in halter shape while putting this many hours on him but he was still continuing to always be in the ribbons. Howington is quite a handful because he is a very sensitive soul but I love a challenge and I am hoping he will be competing in performance classes in 2014!
Howington is not going to be quite stout enough to be my next show gelding unless I go on a serious diet or he grows more. He just does not have the get up and go that is required for a performance donkey. Howington has well over 100 hours in harness and pulling a cart but he is only for a very experienced driver. Howington is very nervous under harness and really just wants to be a pet. He is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile, de-wormings and hoof trims. He has a negative coggins dated 3/21/14.
I have started to sell Howington several times and backed out because I am so attached to him. If you think this donkey might be for you...better grab him up fast before I change my mind again.

Showdown won the Two & Under Halter Jacks/Gelding class and stood Reserve Champion Halter Jack/Gelding at the Lincoln County Fair on 9/08/13. Showdown also was 2nd in a very large spotted color class that day.
Showdown finished the show year as the official Reserve Champion Yearling and Reserve Champion Spotted Color donkey of Tennessee. We are only offering Showdown for sale because we now finally have geldings of our own bloodlines that are large enough to compete. We have a limited amount of time to work and fit donkeys for the show ring, therefore, we are offering Showdown for sale. He is much too nice to just sit in our pasture because we are spending all of our time with other donkeys. Showdown has a negative coggins report dated 3/21/14. He is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile, hoof trimmings and dewormings. Showdown is a sweet but high strung donkey so we think he would be best with an experienced handler if you plan to show him.

Oh, just didn't I need another gelding! I just can't have enough. Houston came from my good friend, Dana Rathbun, at Castlewood Farm in Lewisburg, Tennessee. What a sweetheart he is. Houston has never been anything more than a companion for Dana's show gelding, Ransom, and when Ransom buddied up with her new mammoth she offered Houston to me. You can see in his video it was his very first introduction to our trail obstacles and he tackled them all almost like an ole' pro.

Soldier is super friendly and loves nothing better than a good party or festivity. We have taken him to many outdoor occasions so he is use to crowds and noise. Children are drawn to his bold, white face and quiet, tolerant demeanor. He seems to be especially fond of children too, allowing them to pull him in any direction they wish to go. He is easy to catch, and he leads and loads in the trailer well.
Soldier is a masked spot with an apron face. An apron face is similar to the bald face, except an apron face literally looks like he's wearing an apron of white over the color and the white extends along the jaw to the throat latch & generally covers the whole muzzle.
He has dark eyeliner all the way around both eyes.
Thank you to Dena Wilson for her incredible job of handling Soldier during his photo shoot! Thanks Dena, you are one in a million!
Soldier was the 2011 Tennessee Donkey ASSociation's Champion High Point Ambassador Donkey. He tied for this award with his owner, Roger, and their stablemate, Lightfoot Lee, owned by Dena Wilson.

Gourmet is a future 'top of the line' show halter gelding. He has ideal conformation with a level top line, wide chest, super legs that track perfectly straight, and a striking true black color with no visible cross. He is also a beautiful mover and should look spectacular under harness pulling a cart.
Gourmet was castrated on 10/23/12, and he has completely recovered. He is now turned out with all of our other geldings and they get along just great.
Gourmet has a super attitude and just loves attention. I feel sure that he will be a delight to train and will be a very competitive show gelding one day soon.
Gourmet has a current coggins report dated 8/20/12. He is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile, Eastern/Western Encephalomyelitis, Tetanus, Rhino EHV4 & EHV 1, and Influenza Strains A1, A2, Prague 56, Ky '92, Ky '97, Ky 98 & Ky 99. He was vaccinated with Prestige V + West Nile in October and given a booster in November. He is also current on de-wormings. His hooves will be freshly trimmed before he leaves for his new home. All photos and videos were taken on November 17th, 2012, with the expert handling of my right-hand WO-man, Dena Wilson.
Gourmet and DaddyO would be a great matched pair as Gourmet is only one quarter of an inch taller than DaddyO and Gourmet is only slightly longer as well. Their color matches closely too but it looks different in the photos because the sun was shining for Gourmet's photo session but it was overcast the day we took DaddyO's photos.

DaddyO is a true black 'future show and performance' gelding. He has a perfect topline, wide chest and he is very heavy boned. He has a tiny, adorable head. He is very friendly and willing. We think he will make a wonderful show gelding one day.
He has a great attitude and should be good at trail obstacles. He is a beautiful mover and should look spectacular under harness pulling a cart.
It is too cold here now to clip him but he will be a gorgeous, shiny, blue-black when he is body clipped with no visible cross showing in summer nor winter. DaddyO was castrated on 10/23/12, and he has completely recovered. He is now turned out with all of our geldings and they all get along beautifully.

Yes, I needed just one more gelding. I can never have enough of them. I am hopelessly addicted. Finally, I have found a young gelding that I can train myself that will be stout enough for me to compete in all events. I am thrilled to add him to our show string. A big 'thank you' to Dennis Vonderfecht of Appalachian Farmstead for letting Willie be our new show prospect. Watch for him in 2013!!
Willie says, "Please don't prounounce my name incorrectly." Blount is prounounced 'blunt' as if the point of my pencil is blunt and needs sharpening.

We have wanted to own Roller for many years...even before he was born we tried to purchase his dam, Lottie, but Kathy Loudamy beat us to her. We have admired Roller's sire, FOF Cardinal RG, and grand sire, My World Winston, for many years and we think they are two of the finest red herd sires in the country with their wide chests and stocky builds. We have Roller's grand dam, Sunset Acres Lady Slipper, in our own herd now and she is one of our very favorite brood jennets. Slipper's daughter and Roller's half sister, FOF Pink Nitie, is also in our herd and will be old enough to breed in 2013.
Roller was bred, raised and trained by Kathy Loudamy of K&K Ranch in Texas. Maria and Katie Randall of Little Miracles Farm in Tennessee finished his training and have him well started under harness. Roller helped Katie win high point or reserve high point youth for several years in The Tennessee Donkey ASSociation's Year End High Point Awards with very limited showing.

Firefly had everything we looked for in a donkey; a wonderful temperament, heavy-boned,
balanced, a gorgeous color, and so tiny too! He passed all these wonderful
qualities to his offspring. We have retained quite a few Firefly daughters and we also now have his son, Radiance. We have changed to another jack with a completely different pedigree so we no longer have a need for Firefly's services. He was a wonderful jack for us for many, many years.
Firefly was castrated on October 2nd, 2012, and he has fully recovered from his operation and he is living with all of our other geldings and getting along just fine. If he does not sell soon he will be taught how to pull a cart and we may offer him for sale to a special home that will give him the life he deserves. Fly is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile, de-worming and hoof trims.

We purchased Caddie from Mike & Loydene Brown of North Gate Farm. Cadillac Jack was trained and shown for many years by Cal Getz of Cal Getz Training in Joshua, Texas. He has been shown by youths and adults all over the country throughout his career. His winnings are too numerous to mention but he was the Southwestern Donkey and Mule Socity High Point Donkey of 2004. When the Brown's called us to tell us he was available we jumped at the chance to own him for our great nephew to show. Sadly our great nephew has no interest in showing donkeys.
We took Caddie to our first show in March and he won the obstacle driving class against stiff competition and many other ribbons that day. He was a blast to show. This donkey is consistent and reliable. He is perfect for a youth or beginner to show as he is pushbutton and bomb proof. Don't let Caddie slip through your fingers if you have an interest in showing or just want a donkey to have a ton of fun with at home.
Caddie is up to date on all vaccinations including Eastern/Western Encephalitis, Tetanus, Rhino, Influenza, West Nile and Botulism. He has been de-wormed regularly and his hooves will be freshly trimmed before he leaves for his new home. He gets along with all donkeys and he is easy to catch and handle. He is a doll to body clip and even let me clip the inside of his ears without moving. Caddie is a dream donkey to own and he would not be offered for sale if we already did not own our capacity of performance donkeys. At our age we can just handle working and showing a few donkeys in our Tennessee heat and it would be a shame for Caddie not to be put to good use at what he loves to do....pleasing his humans.
Caddie comes with his own fitted driving harness complete with bridle & bit, overcheck, surcingle (saddle), breeching, breast collar, a brand new set of maroon harness pads, reins, (as shown in videos taken June 2012 & photo below) plus green high quality harness bag (not shown) and his own show halter (see below).
Halter & Harness & Harness Bag

If you have purchased a donkey from us in the past or if you buy more than one donkey we will reduce his price....just ask! We thought we had Caddie sold earlier but the deal fell through and he is now available again. Don't miss your chance to have a proven ribbon winner!

Lightfoot Lee is owned and trained by my right hand man, Dena Wilson. The following write-up is authored by Dena:
Anyone who knows me knows one of my favorite sayings is: "Know what you're
good at and do that!" Well, I have found (at this late stage in life) I
enjoy starting young donkeys. It is so satisfying to watch them "get it".
With this in mind, and with a combination of trepidation and surety, I am
offering Lightfoot Lee for sale.
I have spent most of the last 3 years in pure joy breaking and training
this wonderful gelding. He is now ready for the next step...showing in performance. He
has won a ribbon in every halter class he has ever entered and he ended the year by winning the 2011
Reserve Champion Halter Gelding in Tennessee.
You can see in his video that he side-passes, pivots on front and back in both
directions, backs and does a variety of obstacles well. He is well started under cart but
will need an experienced driver for a while yet. He won the Tennessee
Donkey Association Driving Award with 110 hours and has many more hours behind him
than that now. Only time spent bonding and gaining experience with his new owner will finish
him out.
Lightfoot's hobbies include parades, giving children birthday cart rides
and rock climbing. He won the Tennessee Donkey Association Ambassador of
the Breed Award in 2011 by attending 25 donkey functions including parades,
birthday parties, festivals, costume contests and more.
He is up to date on Eastern/Westen Encephalitis, Tetanus, Rhino, Influenza
and West Nile, hoof trimmings, and dewormings. He has a negative coggins
report dated 5/1/12. He is signed up for the 2012 Tennessee Donkey Association High
Point Award program and Driving Award program with dues paid in
full and his points transferrable.
Lightfoot would do well in a loving home where his new owner wants to be a
winner in the show ring. If you are looking for a show companion or just a beloved pet this is
the donkey for you!

Here he is folks, the donkey that everyone is looking for. Gentle as a lamb and as comical as they come....Mr. Frenchy is the kind of donkey you could drive the wheels off of your truck before you would find another one just like him. Frenchy was trained by Wayne Lyon of Canada and has since been shown successfully by many people. Frenchy would never have been offered for sale if it was not for his last owner suddenly and unexpectedly passing away while he was at the barn caring for his beloved donkeys. His widow will be selling her farm to move to a home with less upkeep and more people around so she asked me to please help her find their donkeys a perfect home where they will be loved and cared for in the same manner that they are accustomed. Frenchy has just been a loving pet and living the life of riley for many years but the videos below show him driving and performing trail obstacles for the very first time since he has been at our home. Imagine how well he will perform after a few practice sessions! He would be ideal for an adult or experienced youth who wanted to start competing this year. He may be a little too strong right now for a young or inexperienced youth.
Frenchy will be up to date on all vaccinations, hoof trims and de-wormings before he goes to his new home. He was given a booster of Prestige V+West Nile 7-way vaccine on 4/3/12. He has a negative coggins report dated 3/24/12.
Frenchy looks absolutely adorable in the winter time in his long wooly coat. His mane grows so long that it hangs over his neck much like a horse's. We body clipped his long shaggy coat off the day that we took these photos and his coat is uneven right now but will grow out smooth in a few weeks. He was a perfect gentleman for his bath and haircut...even for his long ears...speaking of which "have you ever seen such a long set of ears?!!??" Frenchy is friendly and gets along with other donkeys and loves people. He is the first up to the fence when visitors arrive. He can be pastured with jennets, other geldings and even with foals. If you are looking for a donkey to give you a lifetime of memories....don't let Frenchy slip through your fingers!!

one magnificent boy. He is a big boy and one that I would love to keep and train

his personally is just as magical as his looks. I can see him now in a polished
harness strutting his stuff in the show ring. He is one of the prettiest newborn

Owen was gelded (castrated) on November 22nd, 2010, and has recovered totally.. He measured 30 ¼" tall on 4/08/11, the last time his hooves were trimmed and we don't expect him to grow very much taller. Owen was rejected by his first time mom and he was raised on a bottle by a fellow breeder of donkeys. They are making a big move to Arizona and since we have had previous experience with bottle fed babies they recommended that we purchase Owen. He is a little spoiled as most bottle babies are but since he has been castrated he has not done one single thing that has made us scold him. He thinks he is a human and really just wants to be loved. He is up to date on all vaccinations including Eastern/Western Encephalitis, Tetanus, West Nile, Strangles, Rhino and Influenza. He was last wormed with Equimax and has a negative coggins dated 11/02/10. Here is your chance to purchase a young gelding that has already been castrated. He is ready to go home with you and begin his training now. Owen's sire is a top award winning donkey in the show ring. We are sure that Owen could follow in his sire's hoof prints.
Owen's price will increase as his training begins and progresses....better grab him now!

Gentleman Jack is a handsome dark mahogany brown jack. He has a perfect bite and very stocky conformation. He will make a greatl driving donkey when he matures. Gentleman Jack would make someone a wonderful Christmas present. We will gladly hold him until Christmas at no extra charge.
Jack has been weaned and we have started his first round of vaccinations. He will be up to date on hooves, de-worming, and all vaccinations including West Nile before he leaves our farm. (Update: Gentleman Jack was given his lost vaccination on 12/18/10. He is now up to date and good until next year!) Gentleman Jack has a negative coggins reported dated 12/14/10. The new photos and video were taken on 11/28/10. A special 'thank-you' to my friend, Dena Wilson, for her expert handling of Gentleman Jack, for his photo session. Gentleman Jack is super sweet and easy to handle. He is a very 'ears up' donkey with outstanding conformation who would do very well in the show ring. Of course he would be just as happy looking beautiful as a pet in your back yard too.
Will be forever best friends with Back Talk (Guff)!

We sold Good Friday to a close friend of ours when he was a newborn. He was just recently returned to us to resell him for our friend that is having financial troubles and is unable to keep her donkeys. Friday will make someone a wonderful pet or show gelding. He has already been gelded, microchipped and registered. He is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile, de-worming, hooves, etc. He has a negative coggins dated 8/25/10. His conformation is good enough to be competitive in the show ring and he is tall enough to make a great driving gelding and/or coon jumper. He is old enough to start his driving training now. He has a wonderful willing attitude and he is very good about doing his hooves, etc. We have just started working Friday on our obstacle trail course and he is doing quite well!
Thank you once again to my great friend, Dena Wilson, for assisting me with Good Friday's photo session!

has been microchipped for easy identification. He
is up to date on worming, hooves, and vaccinations including Eastern/Western

can be and he would make a wonderful driving gelding. He is old enough

Scout is a dark, heavily spotted gelding with a wonderful temperament. He is short backed with a stocky build and a compact head. Scout has been microchipped to comply with the new Miniature Donkey Registry rules. He is up to date on vaccinations including Eastern/Western Encephalitis, Tetanus, Rhino, Influenza and West Nile. He is guaranteed to be sound and healthy. Scout is super friendly and easy to catch and handle. His hooves were last trimmed on 2/18/10. Scout's hooves were very long when we first acquired him because his previous owner was ill and later passed away. Scout's hooves are still too long but we are trying not to take too much off at one time. He was de-wormed with Equimax on 2/12/10. He has a negative coggins dated 2/8/10. Scout was gelded on Wednesday,March 24th and he has made a complete recovery. He will make a wonderful flashy driving gelding!

Chance has
already been gelded by our veterinarian on 7/15/09 and he has made
a complete recovery. He is registered in the Miniature Donkey Registry
as 4A's Farm Buster but we call him Second Chance. Chance was left
out in the cold by his previous owner and the tips of his ears and
tail have been frozen off. It doesn't make him any less loveable and
he needs to go to a pet home where he will be loved and protected.
Chance has dark eyeliner and a gray eye patch around one eye. He has
a pointy butt and he toes out slightly in front but it only adds to
his charm and makes him even cuter. Chance will never win a halter
class but he will win your heart if you will just give him a second
chance!
He is up to date on de-worming, hooves, and his vaccinations including
East/West Enceph/Tetanus/Rhino/Influenza. We have recently microchipped
him and have added the number to his transfer papers. He has a negative
coggins report dated 6/09/09. Chance measured less than 31" tall
on 10/31/09 and we expect him to mature in the 32 to 32.5 inch range
or possibly even smaller. The photos above were taken on August 28th,
2009.
Chance stands quietly when tied. He is easy to catch if he likes you
but he has trust issues with some people. Chance adores me but dislikes
my new best friend! Come visit Chance and see if he would like to be
your bff (best friend forever)!!
We have line driven Chance over every obstacle in our arena and he willingly
tackled them all including jumps, bridges, teeter-totter, etc.! Pretty
amazing for his first time ever! Thank you to Katie Randall, my nine
year old handler, who ground drove Chance for the first time. A special
'thank you' to Angela Preston for giving Chance his new name!

his color. He may be a very dark brown when he has shed his foal coat.
His hair is sunburned red from being out in the sun. We don't know
what Ace's birth height was as he was not born on our farm. We purchased
him along with his mom and stablemates when his previous owner went
out of the donkey business. We measured him at three months of age

Striker
is a super tiny little jack that will be sold as a gelding prospect
only. We feel his conformation is not good enough to make a herd sire
although he certainly is going to be tiny. He has a bold wide blaze
with two dark eyes and dark eyeliner completely around both eyes. He
is slowly turning into a white roan and may possibly progress to a
frosted spotted white. He is as sweet as he can be. In the video below
he is being lead by a young child and he is six weeks older than the
other donkey in the video. We don't expect Striker will mature much
over 30 inches tall if he even gets that tall. Striker is up to date
on all vaccinations including West Nile. He is current on de-worming
and hoof trims. He has a negative coggins dated 3/25/09. He has an
almost full 4 generation pedigree with only 3 blank spots. A big thank
you to my professional handler, Katie Randell, for a job well done
and her mother, Maria. I could not have done this without you....thanks
again! Update! Striker has been body clipped and he did roan out. He
will only get lighter as he matures. He is not old enough for my vet
to geld him but he will be gelded as soon as he drops and his vet bill
will be added to his selling price.

down and Sterling came to live at Half Ass Acres in August of 2006. Sterling and Jack have
won so many awards together that I wouldn't begin to be able to list them all. He is a sweetheart

ring. At the 2007 MO State Fair, he placed 5th in a trail class with
over 30 entries and won the Costume Class of 24 entries demonstrating

but not yet hooked to a cart. He would be easy to train and would make a flashy driving

He was shown as a two year old at the 2007 Tennessee State Fair and won 2nd in the solid

measures slightly under 33¾" tall. His sire has won many championships and his
grand sire is a National Champion. Smoke has a nice round rump and very straight and correct
legs. These photos do not do him justice as he is much prettier in person. He is a beautiful
striking silver gray color with leg garters and buttons up and down all four legs. He is
very sweet and easy to handle and can be pastured with jennets and foals. He has been lightly
line driven and it would not take much more work to teach him to drive. Show donkey or companion
pet, you would be proud to have Smoke in your pasture. Smoke has a negative coggins report

and trail classes. He is built like a tank but as sweet as a Teddy Bear. The above jumping
photo was taken the first day we worked him and was the first jump he took that day. Diego
was shown at the 2002 World Miniature Donkey Show in Calgary Stampede, Canada. He was 3rd
in the 3 & Over Gelding Halter Class shown by Harvey Trimble (his breeder) and 6th in
the 3 & Over Trail Class shown by Wayne Lyon. We are very excited about having him and
his stablemate, Jose, to show this year. Thank you to Wendy Lyon for sending us the great

at this date. He will be sold as a gelding only. He should be old enough to be gelded at
around 1 to 1 1/2 years of age. He is up to date on his vaccinations, dewormings and hoof

his coat. He loves everyone and doesn't have a shy bone in his body. He is very stout, stocky,

Roscoe
is a great grand son of
Rainbow's Cocco who has been a multiple show winner including Hartman's International
Miniature Donkey Show - Grand Champion in '89 and '93. She and her foal sold for $20,000
at the Hartman's First International Miniature Donkey Sale where Cocco also stood Grand
and Supreme Champion Jennet at the show that year. Roscoe reminds me a lot of his great
grandmother who I have seen in person and who I think is a gorgeous jennet. Roscoe is a
very sweet little boy that we know will grow up to make someone a gelding they will be proud
of. Roscoe is up to date on all vaccinations and has a recent negative coggins report.

Grand Sire: Valintino 49 (aka Winchester), 34"
Dark Red (Sorrel) Grand Dam: Philamena 79, 33.75" Dark Red
(Sorrel)
Digger is tall (right under the line of 36" in height) but built
like a tank and he is under the legal height requirements for a miniature donkey so he can
be shown in sanctioned shows. Digger is a sweet boy but he was mistreated by a previous
owner's (not his breeder!) trainer and will probably never be a real safe driving donkey
unless you are a top notch trainer that can spend a lot of time with him. Digger has four
months professional driving training by Jack Pentland in Indiana. Jack said that Digger
is a nice driving donkey but he needs a lot more work with someone one on one until he totally
trusts them. He is still a very green driving donkey and, therefore, he is unpredictable
and he may never be a donkey that just anyone could drive. He is a gorgeous dark red (sorrel)
color. Digger would make an excellent companion or guard donkey. He would also do very well
in halter conformation classes at donkey shows. He is up to date on all his vaccinations
and has a negative coggins test. Digger is registered with The Miniature Donkey Registry
in Texas. The photos above were taken on July 3rd, 2004, after his new owner and friends
spent all day washing and clipping him!

Bill is the most precious little baby you could ever hope for. He is five months old. He
is broke to lead and up to date on all vaccinations and hoof trims and he has a negative
coggins report. When he was born his left back hoof was a little crooked but it is almost
completely unnoticeable now and we expect it to be perfectly straight in a couple more hoof
trimmings. He is perfectly sound. This little guy just loves people. We are not sure if
he is going to shed off gray or brown but one thing is certain...he will still be precious!
He is very stocky and stout with a tiny gorgeous head and a good bite. His color looks different
in the pictures above because the sun kept going in and out while we were taking his photos.
Both his sire and dam have been on this farm and they are both fantastic donkeys. We expect
no less out of Candy Bill.

Cinnamon
was hand picked by Loretta Zeigler of My
World Farm for me when I requested a classy gelding. He sure hasn't let me down.
He placed 5th out of 19 other geldings in halter at the Nationals in 2002 the first time
shown. He won the gelding halter class at the Bedford County Fair his second time shown.
I had no intentions of selling Cinnamon but Jane talked me out of him and she is going to
take him to a Wayne Lyon clinic in Vermont next summer and teach him to drive and show him.
He will have more attention at her home and be a much happier donkey. I am glad he will
be several states away from us because I think he is the best 'halter' donkey on our farm!!
It
was a very hard decision...but since we sold Robin who was Gambler's match we have decided
to sell Gambler also. We just have too many geldings to give them the proper attention they
need. Gambler is very correct with a willing attitude and he will make an excellent halter
and performance gelding one day. Gambler is registered with The Miniature Donkey Registry

Just
to prove I am not completely biased towards 'My World' geldings..here is our little Robin.
A sweeter and more willing donkey you will never find. Robin placed 2nd in the youth lead
race at the Nationals this year out of over 40 entries. (Thank you, Ellie!) We were so proud!
We were unable to show him in the gelding halter class as he was not castratated at that
time. We have shown Robin in just about every fun-game class they have and he willingly
tries it all and nearly always walks away with a very high ribbon! We are excited about
showing Robin in the 2 and under gelding classes next year. He has the nicest set of legs
you could ever hope for. Robin was bred at Summer
Shade Farm in Ohio by Jim & Nancy Eubanks. Robin's precious baby photo above
is compliments of Nancy.
I
was reluctantly talked out of my precious Robin and I only consented because I have too
many geldings to give them all the attention they so crave.

by an unknown wild burro. Adam was born 6 months afer we brought his mom home. He is about
as gentle as they come. Just a big friendly baby. He would be excellent as a guard animal
for your livestock although he gets along just fine with our own personal animals....dogs,
cats, donkeys and horses. He has never been sick a day in his life and he is very easy to
catch and to handle. We are only offering him for sale because we own so many mini-geldings
and Adam is not getting the love and attention that he craves. We just want him to go a
home where he will be loved. He is up to date on all his vaccinations including the new
West Niles vaccine. He is registered with ADMS. All his papers are in order. The above photo
was taken a few years ago and Adam has grown quite a bit. We will update his photos soon.
He would make an excellent driving donkey or companion animal.
Congratulations to Kenneth & Mary Burgess Lewisburg, Tennessee!!!

Procedure
~ Dedicated to Our Precious Jazzper ~
You
lost two close pals today my dear friend, But how brave you were from the start to the
end. As you fell to the floor when the shots took effect, I was there to cushion
and support your sweet little neck. When awakening from dream land, you snuggled your
head deep into my arms Trusting that I would shield you from further troubles and harm.
We're truly sorry for the pain we've caused by ending your time as a jack, But now sweet
boy, you can play with all the gals without getting any flack!
Clem
is a very sweet and laid back young gentleman. Per Pat Scanlan, our Donkey Tree expert,
Clem has 133 known ancestors in his pedigree. What a handsome matched driving pair he will
make with his brother, Tim! (see Tim pictured below) Green broke to drive. I body
clipped both of these donkeys by myself two days ago without restraint and they were as
good as gold. Clem must be sold with his brother, Tim, as they were born one week apart
and have never been separated.

Buster may
be the most laid back jack I have ever had the pleasure to be around. He was offered
for sale due only to a tragic automobile accident of his previous owner. He just arrived
from Colorado and that is why his coat is so shaggy. Buster is a proven sire as you
can see by the photos of the two jennet foals in the links above. Our farm is not
set up properly to house a lot of jacks, so if Buster is not sold soon he will be gelded.
Don't expect his price to drop much even then as he will make someone an outstanding
show gelding. He will "Wow!" them in the halter and performance classes
plus be so elegant under harness. He hops on the trailer like a puppy and will let
me even clip the inside of his ears without restraint. You will look far and wide
before you find a donkey with Buster's outstanding temperament & disposition! His
cart training is starting today! Look for updated photos soon. Someone better
