Photos of Napoleon above taken July 8th, 2007.

Video taken when Napoleon was a young jack. He has since
filled out as you can tell by the more recent video below. This
is what Napoleon's coat looks like when he is body clipped.

Napoleon on 2/17/10 in his full winter coat!

Napoleon is our spotted herd sire. He is a heavy-boned, compact jack with a tiny, short head, heavy jaw and correct legs. He has deep halos around every single one of his spots. He has a lot of interesting colors and donkeys in his background including McLendon's 45 Magnum, a 28¾" dark brown jack. This boy is undoubtably the most laid-back jack we have ever encountered.  He lives in our backyard with our dogs during the cold winter months when we don't want any foals born. Thank you to Ed and Linda Trimnell at Windcrest Acres for allowing us to purchase this fine boy!

Now, about Bruise. I think his pictures say it all but just let me say this is one stout boy. His wide chest, his stocky build, his heavy bone structure, that perfect small baby doll head, all are the makings of a Jr. Herd Sire if I ever did see one. Bruise has blue/grey eyes like several of his half brothers and sisters sired by Itsy Bitsy Front and Center. He weighed in at 25 ½ lbs and only 20 ¾ inches tall at birth. It was evident this little black hunk could deliver a “knock-out punch” in the pasture with the girls, or in the ring…that is show ring.

Sorry, but for now, Bruise will remain at our farm as he matures into our next Junior Herd Sire. How could we possibly sell Junebug's baby that she has waited on for so long?

The photos above were taken August 26th, 2010.

Badlands is our up and coming junior herd sire and we have great plans for him. Since the day we purchased Meggie Mae, we have anxiously awaited the arrival of this baby. Nothing could disappoint us with Sunset Acres Racer, being the sire, and Meggie Mae, the dam. Badland's first foal crop is due soon! Photos and videos taken on July 15th, 2009, the day he was body clipped. Badland's first foal crop is due March of 2010.

We did not really want to sell Badlands but we only have room for just so many jacks before it becomes just too many to manage. We only needed one black herd sire and we retained Junebug's foal, Black 'n' Blue, for our dark herd sire. We reluctanltely sold Badlands to our great friend, Jane Savage. We hope you love him as much as we do!

Spec is out of one of our very best spotted jennets and sired by a tiny sorrel jack. His grand sire is the great 'few spot' white jack, Hartman Donkey's Trenton. We think so much of him that we have several 'Trenton' daughters in our brood jennet band. Spec just has a few spots but they are black and he has several dark spots thoughout his body just on his skin that do not show up unless he is clipped as he appears in the photographs above. Spec is stocky, stout and wide and small with outstanding conformation & a super disposition. We expected Spec to produce some very colorful foals and he has not disappointed us. He has produced six foals as of this date and all are heavy boned with very correct legs and beautiful heads.
