Now this little guy sort of caught us by surprise. Sunshine was not actually due until September 24th so we were not on constant alert for his arrival. We had her under the cam as a stall buddy for Meggie Mae who had just had her baby. Just before going to bed, at 12:30a that night, a stall clean up and milk check was done and Sunshine had pure white milk. By 3:22a she gave birth to this cute little spotted jack with a very unique spot pattern. He stayed right beside his mother and within 15 minutes he was up and already nursing.

With it being so very late, or early in the morning, we did not stay up to wait for him to dry. The next morning we were so anxious to see just what color he was going to be. We hurried to the barn and this most precious little guy was ready and waiting for us to admire him. His brown color is a bit unusual in that it has a nice red tint to it. You would not say it is sorrel but it is very different. He has a white, upside down horseshoe shape on one hip and a heart shape on his other hip. The heavy blanket of brown over his top side, really make him a stand out boy.

If you are looking a spotted boy to be your best buddy then look no further. He is ready to be your Sidekick and become a member of your family as soon as he is weaned. He has the cutest personality, uses those reddish brown ears constantly, and he is just as soft as a cotton ball. He loves to just be beside you and be a part of what is going on around him. For this reason we have named him Sidekick. Don't let this one get away….come see him and our little pal can be your very own Sidekick too!
