This was a picture perfect birth. Party had 2% milk and all other signs of impending birth late in the afternoon of Saturday, January 30th, 2021. Several hours later she started pacing and showing other signs of heavy labor. We moved her to the foaling stall and her water broke at 9:05pm. Her beautiful spotted jennet took her first breath at 9:14pm.

We expected Party to foal on January 6th so the baby was late and her birth weight reflected that at a whopping 28.6 lbs.
