Digger is tall
(right under the line of 36" in
height) but built like a tank and he
is under the legal height requirements
for a miniature donkey so he can be shown
in sanctioned shows. Digger is a sweet
boy but he was mistreated by a previous
owner's (not his breeder!) trainer and
will probably never be a real safe driving
donkey unless you are a top notch trainer
that can spend a lot of time with him.
Digger has four months professional training
of driving by Jack Pentland in Indiana.
Jack said that Digger is a nice driving
donkey but he needs a lot more work with
someone one on one until he totally trusts
them. He is still a very green driving
donkey and, therefore, he is unpredictable
and he may never be a donkey that just
anyone could drive. He is a gorgeous
dark red (sorrel) color although in his
photos taken recently he has not darkened
back up yet from his body clipping. Digger
would make an excellent companion or
guard donkey. He would also do very well
in halter conformation classes at donkey
shows. He is up to date on all his vaccinations
and has a negative coggins test. Digger
is registered with The Miniature Donkey
Registry in Texas.
Congratulations to
