We had been anxiously awaiting the birth of this foal. Sunflower, a gorgeous spotted jennet, had been bred to Cimmaron, a gorgeous red jack. There were so many possibilities for him but only time would tell. Our entire Thanksgiving Day was spent watching for him to arrive. It was evident Sunflower was ready to foal it was just a matter of time. It was funny, as many people, watching on Mare Stare, were writing and telling me they were trying to have Thanksgiving Dinner and watch Sunflower at the same time. I could only imagine some of the burnt turkeys and pies people were going to get that day!

Sunflower kept us waiting until early the next morning and then she presented us with one of the nicest very dark brown, or black, (we still can’t tell exact color) and no light points jack we’ve seen. He has such an elegant look about him as he holds his head so high, stands with a show ready pose, ears up, stout and heavy -boned as can be, and just full of himself. He is ready to take the girls for a whirl and the show ring, too, if that is your choice.

Genius, practically named himself since he did everything so quickly. He was standing up in record time, nursing in record time, running around the stall in record time, and causing everyone to talk about what a bright boy he was going to be. He is definitely going to be FIRST in his class whether on your farm, or in the show ring. He has the complete package of what it takes to get the job done.

We are so proud to offer such a nice jack to become the Jr. Herd Sire for your farm. He certainly has a fantastic gene pool with bloodlines coveted by breeders.

Be sure to look at his videos……he is full of spunk to say the least. Call today to make an appointment to see this fine young jack. He won’t last long and it is a great opportunity to get him as soon as he is weaned. It is such a wonderful experience to get your herd sire when he is young and he can bond with you and your family. That makes such a special relationship as he matures and starts to produce some foals of his own.
