Farrah has not had a foal since 2001. We have been using her as a baby sitter all these years. We thought she was barren from scar tissue (her 2002 foal was breach and we lost the baby when it had to be pulled out by the vet)....but surprise, surprise... she is in foal to Windcrest Firefly for a November 2006 foal!

Update! Farrah delivered a precious gray-dun jennet on 11/02 @ 8:23pm. Thank you to fellow marestare watcher, Sherrie McIntosh of DreamKeeper Miniature Horses, that has come up with the perfect name for our little girl, Skip To My Lu. We are going to call her LuLu!! Thank you, Sherrie!

Pixie did not even hit the 30" mark when we measured her!! Pixie has never had a foal. This is just about the cutest little donkey you will ever lay your eyes on. She looks like a little stuffed toy. Pixie is used as a baby sitter for our weaned foals and sometimes as a companion for one of our jacks. She has never had a foal and is being sold as 'barren'. She would make a wonderful pet or companion animal. She is up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and hoof trims. She will be sold with a negative coggins report and complete health records.

We are really happy with this girl! She is our Andiamo daughter replacement for her half sister that I let someone talk me out of not long ago. A special 'thank you' to Jack Pentland for posing this little girl for these great photographs!

Exciting News!! Dory has been sent to Kathy Loudamy at K&K Ranch in Texas for conditioning, training, and showing! We were so pleased with the first two foals we sent to Kathy for 110 days of training that we decided to send another baby home with her. We have confidence in Kathy's ability to make Dory a fine little show donkey too!

This little girl would have never been offered for sale if we were not building an expensive arena and we just simply needed the money! She is one of our very finest! She has been well started in green trail with three months of training by Kathy Loudamy.

Dam:  Hartman's Lass #39, 33" brown
      Grand Sire:  Untraced
      Grand Dam:  Untraced

Buffy's registration papers show her as 34" tall but we carefully measured her on concrete and she is 34¼" tall. Buffy has one of the most perfect round rears you will ever see! She was purchased as a barren jennet for a pasture companion for a year round companion for Rock 'n' Roll Miniature Donkey Farm's herd sire.....but surprise, surprise....she foaled a beautiful stocky very dark, dark brown jack on 5/13/04. Click here to see Rock 'n' Roll Heza Sir Prize!! We purchased the pair in May of 2004 because they did not fit into Rock 'n' Roll's breeding program. Click here to see her baby, Sir Prize!

We have bred Buffy to our black and white spotted herd sire, MGF Primero, for a March 7th, 2006 foal.

New Update! Gorgeous dark spotted jennet born 3/26/06 @ 10pm.

Tease The Boys, aka FlirtClick here to see photos of Tease The Boys!

Buffy has been pasture exposed to Ass-Pirin Acres Spectacular for an October 28th, 2007 foal. She will be sold as exposed but not guaranteed. If she is not in foal we will refund $500 to the buyer. She is up to date on vaccinations, dewormings, and hoof trims. She will have a current negative coggins report and a health certificate if sold out of state. This jennet is easy to catch and handle and gets along with other donkeys and animals. She is an excellent mom and has had no foaling problems since we have owned her or to our knowledge. She would not be offered for sale if we were not building an expensive arena! Our need is your gain. Buffy produced the prettiest spotted jennet you have ever seen in March 2006! She might have another one just like her in her belly now!

Grand Sire:  Unnamed Miniature, 30" Dark brown
Grand Dam:  Miniature Corrine, 33" Gray-Dun

Tinkie is so beautiful that it is a shame she is barren but she has been invaluable as a baby-sitter, show-donkey, and concubine jennet. She has been green-broke to  drive. Tinkie is sometimes a pasture buddy for one of our herd sires or she is a super baby sitter when we wean the foals. She is up to date on vaccinations, dewormings, and hoof trims. She will have a current negative coggins report when sold and a health certificate if sold out of state. We have kept so many or our foals these past two years that we just simply need the room. Tinkie has a wonderful personality and would make a great show donkey or companion animal.

Cayenne is up to date on all vaccinations, de-wormings, etc. She is now pasture exposed to Windcrest Firefly, a 30½" dark red jack with a big star. Her last heat cycle was 5/21/06 and we have not seen her come back into season again. She belongs to Martha Wilhoit's daughters of Rock 'n' Roll Miniature Donkey Farm. Martha just recently passed away and it was her wish that her donkeys be sold and the money applied toward her girl's educations. That is the only reason this jennet is being sold. She will sell with a negative coggins report (dated 8/15/06) and complete health records along with a new halter and lead rope. Cayenne has a nice round rear, a perfect bite, and very correct legs. These photos do not show her deep red color as she still had her winter hair and had not shed for the summer. The photos above were taken by my sister on May 20th, 2006. She has never photographed a donkey before! Cayenne was expertly groomed by my great nephew, Will Connor. A BIG THANK YOU to Will. I could have never gotten these great photos without his help!!

Chiquita is very beautiful and she knows it!  She was added to our brood jennet band in 2003 when Chiquita turned three and a half years of age.   She is a half sister to one of our other favorite brood jennets from the past, Windcrest Tulip, so we are expecting Chiquita to follow in her sister's hoofprints. We measured Chiquita on concrete on 10/12/04..and she is a solid 34" tall.

Chiquita was bred to Short Spots Luigi for a September 2004 foal. Chiquita delivered her first foal, a healthy baby girl, Teenie Bopper, on 10/13/04 @ 10:40am.

Gracie is very tiny and correct.... a rare combination. She has been bred to our 29½" brown herd sire, PGF Peppercorn Jack, for an April/May, 2003 foal. This will be her first foal.

Update...Gracie went into early labor during a horrible hail storm...click here for another view of the hail...click here for one more view. The baby was not in the correct position and had to be pulled. We lost the baby ... a tiny, precious, dark brown jennet ... but Gracie is doing fine.

We have rebred Gracie to PGF Peppercorn Jack for an October 2004 foal. This will be Gracie's second foal and first live birth.

Update! 9/10/04....Gracie had clear milk at 1:30am and white milk later at 9:30am and delivered a gorgeous girl at 2:15pm! Click here to see photos of Sis Boom Bah, aka Sister!! Thank you to all who prayed and helped us through this delivery!!

Madison has no light points and has been bred to our spotted herd sire, Indy, for a Summer 2002 foal.  Madison has a gorgeous round rear end and those long banana ears!

Madison foaled a tiny spotted jack on 6/27/2002, Cloud Nine! This was her first foal.

Madison was allowed to rest through last year and has been bred to Short Spots Luigi for a late September 2004 foal. This will be her second foal.

Update! Madison started her bag the 1st week of August. She will be the next one to foal. Madison was put in a stall under the barn cam on August 28th. Her due date is September 25th but she has had a real nice 'bag' now for nearly a month. We expect her to foal a few weeks early this year.

Half Ass Acres Mad HatterUpdate! Madison foaled a 20½" brown jack with a big wide blaze on 8/31/04 @ 4:47am. Mad Hatter was born 25 days early and one day after the full moon. Visit our 'newborn' page for updated photos! Half Ass Acres Mad Hatter

This is a very nice heavy-boned gray-dun jennet that is probably going to mature around the 34" mark. She has a perfect bite and a nice round rear end. Her right ear has been injured and it may leave scars but she is in perfect health. Lady had her first set of vaccinations on 10/14/05 and her boosters were given on 11/01/05. Vaccinations given are Eastern, Western, Tetanus, Rhino, Flu, Venezuelan. Her hooves were last trimmed and filed on 2/14/06 and she was last de-wormed with Zimecterin Gold on 1/02/06. She has a negative coggins report dated 2/13/06 and she will have a health certificate if sold out of state. This little jennet is super tiny and is probably going to remain small. Her head is so small that we did not have a halter that fit her for her photo session. Daisy is very sweet. She has a more refined type of build with a nice round rear end and her bite is perfect. Daisy had her first set of vaccinations on 10/14/05 and her boosters were given on 11/01/05. Ch Ching's name means excellent, fantastic, and is believed to come from the sound falling coins make. Her color is a red/brown or rose-dun with white spots. She has two dark eyes with eyeliner all around. A big thank you to all my friends in Heaven but especially Martha Wilhoit for helping deliver this baby safely. This jennet is a full sister to Half Ass Acres Mojave who appeared on the cover of Asset Magazine this summer! She is also a full sister to Half Ass Acres Splish Splash and a half sister to Half Ass Acres Hula Hoop.

We later repurchased Ch Ching when Flight of Fancy retired from the miniature donkey business to travel. She is in our brood jennet band and has foaled a champion jennet and just recentely a gorgeous black jack.

We think Cyn will shed off to be a dark brown & white spotted. She actual measured less than 21" tall! I had jury duty the day this jennet was born. I checked bags at 7am before I left for court. Did not arrive home until 10pm as I was hung up deliberating a case with my fellow jury members. I checked bags at 10pm and no one had white milk. My husband arrived home at 1am to find that Inga had foaled this precious jennet who was still wet in the maternity ward!

Glow fooled us..she barely had a bag the morning of 5/21 and clear milk late on the night before...but we saw her drop down at 2pm the next day and go into labor while she was in the maternity ward. We did not even have time to get her under the barn cam. This is the tiniest baby we have ever had born on this farm! If you saw Whiskey in person you would swear she was not a hair over 15 inches..but we carefully measured her and she is 18¾" tall. She is very petite and compact which gives her the appearance of being even smaller.

Hear Whiskey's first bray!

Katie belongs to Julia Vaughn of JKV Designs and she is staying at Half Ass Acres for foaling under our barn cam. She was purchased as a driving donkey for Julia last year at The Great American Miniature Donkey Sale in Ohio but due to Julia's health she is not going to be able to show Katie so she must be sold. She and her baby will be offered for sale after she foals. Katie was shown in driving classes for one season in 2001 and took a blue ribbon in every class except one (that was red). She won reinmanship and obstacle at the Ohio State Fair and won driving at the SW Ohio Draft Horse Show. She has produced 4 foals in the past and is bred to a spotted jack, Thom-Ass Cobra's Commanche. With Katie's dark brown roan color, they should produce a beautiful, colorful foal. Katie is about as sweet and friendly as they come. They call her brown roan on her papers but she is a rich blue roan and very unusual and eye-catching. If you are looking for a jennet that grandma or the kids could catch, hook up and drive..Katie is the one for you! She and her 2006 foal will be priced after the foal is here. We expect her to foal in late May or June.

Here is a list of Katie's previous foals:

1998 - Gray Jennet - S&S Tinkerbell, sired by Dells Benny Boy - foal matured to 34"
2000 - Black Jennet - Long Run Millie sired by Windcrest Java - foal matured to 35"

We were expecting a great foal from this combination and we were not disappointed. Bling's sire is a half brother to MGF Future Link. Bling's name fits him perfectly as he has plenty of blingage.

Exciting News.. Bling has been sent to Kathy Loudamy at K&K Ranch in Texas for conditioning, training, and showing. We have confidence in Kathy's ability to make Bling a fine little show donkey.

Update. Bling is home from training and were we ever pleased with the condition and attitude of this little donkey after spending 110 days at Kathy Loudamy's training center at K & K Ranch in Texas. Bling has been trained to set up for halter, trot on command, back, and has been well started in trail obstacle.

We purchased an adult jack to use for our spotted herd sire as Bling is related to several of our donkeys so it is with great regret that we are now offering him for sale. Bling is up to date on all vaccinations including West Nile, Rabies, Strangles, E/W/T, Rhino, & Influenza. He has a negative coggins report dated 2/07/06.

We have a video of him performing trail while he was in training at Kathy's and I will send out a copy to interested buyers.

Bling's pedigree is very impressive with 'My World' bloodlines on the bottom and the top filled with small dark donkeys including blacks, no light points, and the tiny 28¾" McLendon's Magnum.

We are very excited to see what Primero will produce crossed with our foundation brood jennets. His pedigree is completely full and goes back to the original imports. It is filled with a variety of colors including sorrel but is dominated by darks. Primero is one of the few registered black and white herd sires in the country. He has a very unique spot pattern with deep halos around every spot. Our second foal crop of babies sired by Primero are due this spring. Photo of Primero's sire, Primo, compliments of Kim Zellers.

We are regretfully offering Primero for sale only because we have purchased another younger spotted jack and we don't have the room for another jack without selling someone. Primero has been nothing but a joy to own. He is very friendly, sweet, and easy to handle. He can be pasture or hand-bred. He is very gentle with the ladies. We have been very pleased with his offspring. He has a perfect bite, straight legs, and very correct conformation. His price is firm. It is very important to us that he goes to a loving home.

Circle C Radar was purchased as a surprise birthday gift to my husband, Joe. Radar has been expertly trained by Wayne Lyon at Stonegate Acres owned by Wayne & Wendy Lyon and he was bred and raised by Cooke Livestock owned by Grant & Sharon Cooke. Shortly after we purchased Radar he was shown at the NMDA Nationals held at the Pacific Crest Classic Show in Oregon on August 9th & 10th. Radar placed 6th out of a class of 14 donkeys in the 4 and Over Halter Geldings shown by Wendy Lyon. He won the Open In-Hand Jumping Class competing against 14 other entries and was 2nd in Green Snigging with 14 in the class and 6th in In-Hand Green Trail with 20 entries shown by Wayne Lyon. Radar was also shown in three classes at the Calgary Stampede World Miniature Donkey Show on July 7th, 2003, where he placed 2nd in Open Trail, 3rd in Halter, and 4th in the Open In-Hand Jumping. We want to thank all the many people that made it possible for Radar to be shown at Oregon by a last minute rush decision! Sharon Cooke for coordinating his ride to Oregon. Sue Myers at Moonshine Meadows in Middleton, Idaho for hauling Radar and keeping him for several days. Wendy for showing Radar at halter. Kevin and Kathy Loudamy for helping at the show and taking him home to Texas. Sandy Dorris for all her help and for showing me the video that made me 'fall in love' and just have to purchase this great donkey for my husband. Yvonne Baily for taking the photographs of Radar used in the graphic I made above. And especially Wayne for all his hard work. We have two other 'Wayne Lyon' trained geldings and they are the best. We know we are going to love Radar just as much. Joe said this was his best birthday ever!

News Flash! 8/22/03...First time shown by his new owner (Joe) Radar wins 2nd in the In-Hand Trail Class and 1st in Matched Pairs with his old stablemate, Circle C Komotion!

We love Radar....he is a perfect gentleman..his nickname is Mr. Perfect because he never causes one single problem and is willing to do anything that is asked of him.

When we purchased NotoriASS's dam, Target, we did not know she was in foal by the previous owner's jack. So we were very surprised when we noticed his mom developing a 'bag'. NotoriASS is going to make someone one heck of a show gelding one day. He is very strking, heavy-boned and correct. He will be offered as a gelding when he is weaned right before Thanksgiving.

NotoriASS's new owners are going to call him Gambit!

Cisco was named by his new owners. Cisco is waiting for our next little boy to be born so that they can 'buddy-up' and be little gelding friends for life. Cisco is a little hambone. He would have posed all day long for me. He is very photogenic and he knows how handsome he is.

This little boy is nothing but a hambone. Everyone of his photos turned out so well that I had to use them all. I just could not make up my mind. All of his great photographs have been printed out in 8 x 10's and put in his hard cover book along with his registration papers and health records. He is registered as a gelding but he is not quite old enough to be castrated at this date. He will be sold as a gelding only. He should be old enough to be gelded at around 1 to 1 1/2 years of age. He is up to date on his vaccinations, dewormings and hoof trims. He has a current negative coggins report and health certificate dated 3/17/06 so he is ready to go to a new home today! WillyB is a complete sweetheart and he never mets a stranger. He is the ideal pet donkey...very friendly and about as cute as a bug!

What a great start to the 2005 foaling season! Very correct conformation and tiny too. Black with no light points anywhere except the inside of his ears. A very, very faint visible stripe that you can barely see in very bright sunlight.

By Jove is a dark brown jack that will make a wonderful gelding when he is old enough to castrate. He has show quality conformation...a great topline, perfect bite, and very correct legs. He is very easy to work around and he loves attention. Right now he is acting a little shy but it won't take him long to warm up to strangers. He is up to date on vaccinations, hoof trims, and de-worming. He has a negative coggins report dated 10/25/05 and he will have a health certificate if sold out of state.

Parker is an exact replica of his mother. He is a beautiful pink/beige with a lot of garters up and down his legs. His bite is perfect and his head is very pretty. He is going to be too tall for a herd sire and will be offered as a gelding when he is ready to be weaned around the first of the new year.
